The answer for me is an astounding yes! I believe in love, the kind where two people share a mutual admiration, respect, and unwavering devotion. Now for the naysayers, please refrain from eye-rolling until you hear me out. Love comes in many forms, the type we feel for our parents, siblings, children or friends. There's the type of love we feel for our job, a new pair of stilettos or when you sink your teeth into a hot brownie sundae.
However, what if I told you there is a more important love than all of the above? I believe the single most important love one can feel is self-love. To truly love another person, one must first learn to cherish oneself. The key to being able to give and experience true love begins with your ability to identify the things required of you to make your own heart happy, as well as harnessing the strength to nurture oneself when you feel a dose of empathy is needed. So first recognize you deserve to be loved, then watch as the world reciprocates. If you haven't found your one true love, peek in the mirror first, then just believe. While you wait for your forever love, remember love is all around us in so many forms. In the meantime, I'm sending some love your way.
